CHILDREN’S BOOK PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS
All submissions are considered on an individual basis, although a personalized response is often not possible due to the volume of submissions we receive.  We will accept simultaneous submissions.  DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS OR YOUR ONLY COPY OF ANYTHING.  We are not responsible for lost submissions.

Include SASE.

Allow up to 24 weeks for a reply.

Be sure your work is appropriate for us.

Correspondence regarding status of manuscripts should be conducted by mail-no email or phone calls, please.

We do not accept electronic or faxed proposals.  Double spaced standard manuscript format.

Board Books:  Infant to 3 Complete text required.  Include illustration ideas only if necessary for understanding text. 

Picture Books:  Ages 3 and up Complete text required.  Include illustration ideas only if necessary for understanding text.

Both fiction and nonfiction accepted.

FREELANCE ILLUSTRATORS
Illustrators:  We commission both color artwork and black-and-white line illustrations for children’s books.  To be considered for freelance work, please email your resume and a link to your website or online portfolio to toetheline@earthlink.net.
